Question about 2004 Dodge Durango

Open Question

2005 durango instrument and overhead lights do not come on

My instrument and overhead lights do not come on when I open the any of the car doors. The instrument lights come on when I start the car and the overhead lights come on when I manually push the button. They do not come on no matter where the light dial is on the instrument panel. I can have the dial all the way up or down and nothing changes. When the dial is at the top the chime starts but no lights.

No interior lights

There may be a dome light override switch that keeps the overhead light off when the doors are opened. Consult owners manual or see dealer.

2005 Durango interior lights do not come on when door is open.

Make sure the rheostat is not turned all the way down. It's the scroll type knob beside/beneath the headlight switch. If it's all the way down the lights will not illuminate, nor will you have any backlighting in the dash.
