If you check you clearance light trailer fuse you will probably find it blown. \if that doesn't work try to take a 12 volt Battery to your trailer plug ground the battery to the trailer frame then take a wire and probe the different terminals. Caution white wire on the trail.r plug is a ground so do not probe that wire. The brown wire should be your clearane lights. If the lights don;t light up heck each light for bad bulbs or poor groung. The grounds can be hecked with an ohm meter.

They are spliced in. Your problem sounds like a bad earth to your trailer. Check you have a good earth as its a very common problem with trailer light's when a few lights are out.

There is a fuse box under the hood that has the fuses that control the wire harness. There are at least 2 boxes, mine were on the drivers side wheel well near the rear of the engine compartment.

The running lights terminal on my trailer plug in do not work. Turn signals and brake lights work fine. Have continuity to the last splice. Do not know how to find the exact fuse.

first, disconnect from the car and check for total continuity from the front to the back of the trailer with some extra wire, if it is good, then you can get a fuse tester from autozone or such and check the fuses in the panel until you find the dead one, they run about $15 usd.

On my horse trailer the brake, and signal lights work. But the park lights will not. Everything works fine on my 2005 F150.

You should have a separate trailer running light fuse in the under hood fuse box (check you manual).

Tail lights work , turn and brake wont work, flat trailer plug

Chances are it is the block were the wires all plug together that is shot. Try changing them out, not very expensive and could save you a lot of hair pulling.

2003 ford expedition tail turn signal light dont work bulbs are ok

You say the rear tail turn signals are not working are the fronts working? If the fronts work and the rears don't then you have a wire issue. Check the grounds for the tail lights or check and see if a trailer wire harness was put in by splicing the wires. Also check for brake lights and see if they work should be same bulb. If the fronts do not work either check fuse 18 in the fuse box should be a 10 amp or check brake fuse 2 which is a 20 amp

If you have amber signal lights & red brake lights, it's 2 separate circuits. You'll need to buy a small converter that you wire into harness to correct that. Not expensive, try autoparts store or RV/trailer sales, should have them.

Trailer wiring 7 way

dO NOT SPLICE WIRES.. You bought a 45000 dollar truck, spring for a wiring T --25 bucks.. ( plugs between main harness and Tail lights.. ) --Available at most good auto parts.. Painless wiring also has a kit.

If you did already cut or splice into your wires, take that **** loose.. Shrink wrap the dammage.. Silicone over srink wrap.. Wire will corrode.. if you did manage to get spliced wires to work,-- in a few years or sooner you will have issues with the connections..Can you say short circuit.. Moisture and loose connections are a thing of the past with sealed tap in wiring.. Plug and play..

If any of this is over your head, get a friend who knows, or a tech to help.. Don't jerry rig a 45,000 dollar new Truck.. Come ON..!!!!!
