Is it making a 'screeching' sound?
You will have to check the power steering oil level in the reservoir and secondly the power steering pump belt may require adjusting i.e. tightening.
Hope this helps!

What could be the problem with my steering if i could turn to the left just fine but when I turn to the right i have to use force?

Sounds like a rack and pinion problem. But first check your power steering fluid levels and make sure there's no obstruction in the path of the wheel.

Check the power steering fluid, have a helper turn the wheel and look under the hood and see if the power steering pump is making noise, check the P/S belt to make sure it's tight.

I have an 04 GMC Sierra. It has no problems turning to the right. But, when i try to turn to the left i can feel a rubbing in the steering column. It has been doing it for a while now and drives fine,...

Sounds like a wheel bearing. Jack you car up and check for play in the bearings and tie rods. bearings will be up and down, tie rods will be left to right. There should be no play in either. Just a suggestion!

It makes a groaning noise when I turn the steering wheel left or right

Hi! You may have a power steering issue. Please check the power steering fluid level if its sitting on the Max or Hi level. IF its not, then you may need to re fill it to get rid of the annoying noise. Plus, running on an almost empty power steering fluid may damage the steering pinion. Hope this helps and have a good one!

Noise w/front left tire when turning slightly right but NOT left

the grinding grating rattling annoying sound is yor axles (velocity joint) it could be a simple thing as the boot rubber poping out and the grease spilled off or the bearing is shelling. In any case have the joint repaired or replaced. After this you will need to align as the changing or removing of the joint messes the alignment up.
