I have a leak of grease from the back of the truck between the rear tires under the truck. What could it be?

Sounds like a bad seal from pinion gear output shaft. ( if rear wheel drive ). To repair, take drive shaft off by removing the 2 u-bolts at the rear of shaft. A screwdriver is handy 2 pry shaft forward enough 2 remove shaft. This is the tricky part, the 2 bearing caps on u- joint r gonna want 2 fall out! Have a length of tape handy & run tape around the caps so u dont loose dozens of lil needle bearings. Also, ur gonna loose oil outta the rear of trans so use a pan 2 catch drippings. Next u have 2 remove nut holding rear yoke, where u-bolts were, find appro puller, remove yoke. Seal now should b avalible 4 rmoval.use seal puller, le. screwdriver&bfh, install new seal & rest is reverse order. Dont loose ur bearings, the're hard 2 find in the dirt! I kno 1st hand.

Rear passanger electric window keeps falling down. buick century 2000. Have it taped up, is it the moter or just off the track? What do I have to do? to tell what is wrong?hanks

either the cable is worn or broken, or the window has come off the old down bracket that holds the glass in place,, remove the inner panel of the door and look to see that the window is attached to the mechanism and that the window glides in the door haven't come loose

2000 Jaguar XK8 Convertible, the right rear window will not come up once the the roof is up and latched. The window makes a noise as if it were trying to come up, the left rear window works fine. Thank...

window is off track or the regulator is bad, you will need to remove the panel and inspect the window and regulator, if it is the regulator you will see a loose cable. Good Luck Tim

My window that is connected to the convertible top is not set right in it. I just want to know how do I fix it so that the air is not seaking in.

The window is part of a panel that is under the top panel cover. If the window panel has detached from the rear headliner bar then it may fall down or fall out of place and not make a tight seal against the top cover. Now if the glass (I assume it is a glass window) is somehow worked it's way out of the panel then it will need to be sealed back in or a new panel and window ordered as they do come as a unit. The window is not supposed to come out or be replaced (at least not very easily).

My thoughts???

2000 corvette convertible top rear window came

This is a common problem with many cars. It is delamination. If the window is loose in spots, it can often be repaired with urethane adhesive like glass shops use for windshields. If the glass is more than 30% delaminated, chances of fixing it are slim. With the glass all the way out, you need a new top. Karl at

How do fix drver side rear sliding door window

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal and you'll see the innards of the door

To replace weather seals and rear window.

I'm working on the rear window problem with my car -- the convertible top shop told me about options to replace the window (including the fabric, etc around it) or replacing the entire top (the window unit + outside fabric). I'm now looking into temporary fixes...

Meanwhile -- about the water under the seat -- my drain holes were plugged -- they unplugged them for me -- the water going through the window was carrying debris down and plugged them up -- so check that out so at least water won't sit there. YUCK! I'm tired of bailing.

I would like to hear if you found a solution.
