I have 2007 yaris 65000 miles no abs. sometimes brake pedal goes almost to floor, but stops the car if you let of and hit again it is fine.I have not lost any fluid and all pads are good.what do you think?

hi there
i would ay your dealing with a bad master cylinder although you have not lost fluid there is a pin there and if it is not allowing all the fluid to get to the callipers this will cause pedal drop and just as in the old days if you pump the brakes it will make better pressure however you should get this fixed immediatly hope i answered what you needed have a great day

1999 DODGE Dakota abs & brake light are on and brake pedal goes right to the floor but the vehicle does stop at slow speed

sounds as if there might be a brake fluid leak somewhere in the system.check the master cylinder to see if the brake fluid is low or almost empty,if the fluid is up then it could be a master cylinder that has an internal leak(meaning the fluid is leaking past the internal seals but not leaking out of the cylinder).it also can be a problem with the abs hydraulic control module leaking.you should have the abs system checked for any codes in that system which may help find the problem quicker,if you don`t find any problem with the other suggestions

1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera - brakes

OK, if the ABS light is on one should scan it with an OBD-II ABS Brake Scan tool like Actron's ($99 to $116 on Amazon.com).

This will likely tell you which wheel has a bad speed sensor.

There could be an internal fluid leak on the master cylinder which needs to be addressed before it's safe to drive.

It would be nice to have the ABS portion of your braking system fixed at the same time.

You may be looking at a new ABS Brake Wheel Speed Sensor which is sometimes put into the hub permanently (requiring a new hub).

How do you bleed the master cylinder

this vehicle has ABS brakes (anto-lock) brakes with a computer that controls it. When you bleed the brakes on your vehicle the fluid goes through the ABS computer. If you don't have a pressure bleeder & the knowlage I wouldn't attempt this. You could cause air lock which will cause you brake pedal to go to the floor & not stop the car. Take it to an ABS brake licensed repair shop.

ABS and BRAKE light at the same time

push the pedal and see if it goes to the floor slowly or fast, if so,some thing like this i would lay on the ground in the back and have some one push the pedlal and hold it, look for fluid, like wet spot near the wheels first ( i have seen wheel cylinder go bad but not leak alot at one time so keep that in mind too) and make your way to the front on the driver side inside of the fram.i dont think its the master cylinder but see if you can see a wet spot at the bottom of the master and the booster( i seen masters not leak as will )

leaks will make the ABS lite come on

Do you still have the problem ? If so, try disabling the ABS completely (electrically) by disconnecting the 50 amp breaker and remove the ABS controller. You should have brake power restored and be careful as the brakes will lock now if you apply too much foot pedal pressure. I hope this helps.
