Question about Dodge Dynasty
1992 3.3l looking for any tips or ideas on working with the belt tensioner in the small confined space it has. I can almost ge tthe serp belt on but theres just not enough room to move the tensioner back enough to allow me the space i need to ge tthe belt on the pulley
They do make a belt tensioner tool that is flat....stays out of the way better than a wrench or socket..
Was this the belt that came off this engine?
Is the belt the correct length?
It should just fit on easily.
Is the rest of the belt fully seated in the other pulleys?
Sometimes you put the belt on the tensioner pulley before finishing by installing the belt onto a/the flat idler stationary pulley last....then release the tensioner.
