Question about 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix
Try taking the oxygen sensor out of the manifold by the firewall and take it for a ride,it sounds like u have a plugged catalytic converter,by removing the sensor your givin the pressure somewhere to escape,if u do have to replace the cat converter i would suggest putting a factory converter on it because if u dont, the check engine light will come on due to the fact that aftermarket converters only have three of the four precious metals required to work properly thats why they are cheaper
