sounds like their right yet you will have to go to a dealer or a shop that has factory scan tools to have it reprogramed. though ive never herd of it loosing all its memory with a battery change check all your fuses first

Resetting the pcm my alternator not chargin

I don't know what kind of testing you have done? Are there any codes for the charging system? I don't like taking negative battery cable loose trying to reset some system, if may cause more problems than you have, now.
In the diagram, the wire from generator to pcm has a duty cycle signal on it.

What do codes P0411, P1000

P1000 code means the codes were cleared or the battery was disconnected
Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Reset Description All OBDII scan tools support the powertrain control module (PCM) reset.
The PCM Reset allows the scan tool to command the PCM to clear all emission-related diagnostic information. When resetting the PCM, a DTC P1000 will be stored in the PCM until all the OBD II system monitors or components have been tested to satisfy a drive cycle, without any other faults occurring. For more information about a drive cycle, refer to Drive Cycles .
The following events occur when a PCM reset is performed:
  • Clears the number of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
  • Clears the DTCs.
  • Clears the freeze frame data.
  • Clears diagnostic monitoring test results.
  • Resets status of the OBD II system monitors.
  • Sets DTC P1000.

P0411 Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected

neither of these could cause a no start or no crank problem . Is the battery good an do you have good connections on the battery ? Do the headlamps show bright when on ?

I got a 2000 gmc Jimmy no start, no spark and diagnostic computer says no link or communication from pcm. Any ideas? I did check all the fuses and the wiring to the distributor, crank sensor, ignition...

If vehicle has been submerged, PCM is likely dead. If vehicle has been struck by lightning, PCM could be locked up or dead. Assuming none of these has happened:
Check power to PCM, not just fuses. You can check through the backside of the connectors ON the PCM.
Check connectors on PCM.
Check ground to PCM.
Make sure you've had no rodent activity on vehicle wiring.
Reset PCM by disconnecting battery (+) lead, waiting 15 seconds, then grounding battery (+) to battery (-) lead. Reconnect battery (+) lead to battery. All user memory sets such as radio and seat settings will be lost.
With no output from PCM, after resetting, the highest probability is dead PCM. It's rare, but it happens.

Limp mode reset

limp mode means something is broken, with
PCM or TCM. (bad sensors or actuators)
resetting PCM.
1: press reset on scan tool.
2: pull memory fuse to ECU.
3: pull battery neg lug and radio bricks and need to do relearn modes. on many things.

if the problem remains, resetting it does nothing, it come back fast.

Failed ecm p0603

Instead of guessing as to what the problem is or expecting someone on here having a magical fix , take it to a qualified repair shop. Before assuming the worst an wanting to condem the PCM - powertrain control module . Will a scan tool communicate with it ? If your pulling codes it is .
DTC P0603 Control Module Long Term Memory Reset
The PCM has a memory area where it stores certain data it needs to save when the key is turned OFF. This area is called Keep Alive Memory. This diagnostic test monitors the PCM's keep alive memory for a loss or unintended change of data. If such a condition occurs, DTC P0603 will set.
Diagnostic Aids
If the battery has been disconnected for any reason DTC P0603 will set. The PCM keeps a running check on the memory; if memory changes it resets. An intermittent loss of power or ground to the PCM will cause a reset.

Have you disconnected the battery ?

Reset pcm

usa? no location makes this impossible but...
ill try.
IN USA plug in the $9 scan tool and push reset. (all cars 96+ or newer)
outside of usa, pull the memory fuse, for PCM.
if desperated, pull battery neg lug for 5min, step on brake
and put back battery,
oops lost the radio codes, so get the radio codes first , always)

hondas use different fuse for the memory wire. so RTm
so read the FSM
read at alldata.com. it all there.'

2: pull the PCM memory fuse for 5min (now called, IOD )
3: pull battery NEG lug, and this bricks Radio, NAV and all things with learn mode, just forgot and the "entanglements there of"

posted like 1000 times here, so 1001.
if repair, PCM,s so this is my bag (jones), (retried)

easy as 1,2,3,
#2 is free, not a dime of cost. or risk of done correct.
if only PCM IOD is pulled. mine has 6 OIDs, the PCM is the correct one.

Mechanic would have checked for good input of crank and camshaft sensors and good output of spark and fuel injectors. If they saw good input but no output, that would be a sign of a fried PCM
