Question about 2003 Jaguar S-Type
Its because the circuit behind the mute button is getting short.so when the circuit gets short the mute button comes ON and because of the short in the circuit the radio turns off.this happens many times.to solve this the internal circuit of the radio needs to be checked and resoldered where the short is occured.that particular place where the short is occured will look bit burned on the circuit board.
another reason check the fuse located in the fuse box under your left side knee area when sitting in the driver seat.if the radio fuse in the fuse box getting weak this hapopens.also check the radio connections.
there is no reset procedure for this radio but unhooking the battery then waiting for 5 minutes then again connecting the battery resets the battery.check out that also,
