ASB Dash light stays on, what do I do and how

You need your vehicle checked with a scanner that reads ABS codes. Not all scanners can read ABS codes. Most likely it's an ABS wheel sensor that's bad. I've changed a few of them on 02 & 03 Explorers.

Good luck.

Why is my abs light stayingon after I start and drivemys-10

abs sensors are located at the front wheels also could be speed sensor these are easy and cheap buy an abs sensor put it on the driver side if the problem still exist than put it on the other side both sides take the same part there is no right or left also if it was a speed sensor most likely you would have problem with your speedometer (and possibly shifting problems as well if its and automatic) good luck sounds like a cheap easy fix theres only two bolts that hold the abs sensor on and possibly one bolt holding the wire to the frame

Abs and traction light on

Any time the ABS light is on the traction control light will be on and the system will be disabled.

The ABS light is on because the ABS computer has detected a fault either in its self check if the light comes on at start up and stays on or when the vehicle is moving, the light will come on at start up then turn off and then come back on after the vehicle is moving.

The best advice I can give is have the ABS computer scanned for codes. This will give a good direction to head into to solve the problem. A high end muti-function scan tool or a ABS specific code reader will be needed to do this.

Once you know the code(s) post them and I'll be happy to help you further.

Some common problems I see on these are speed sensors and bad harnesses for the front speed sensors. sloppy front wheel bearings can also cause the ABS light to come on.

A bad speed sensor can cause the light to come on and stay on. There is a way to check them but you will need a good DVOM and know how to use it.

Let me know if you have any further questions and i'll be happy to answer them.

ABS stays on a 2001 GMC Jimmy

This is a common issue, and is pretty easy to fix. There are ABS sensors on the wheels, and you have a bad one. Usually the wires become corroded, and are easy to spot. The unit is on the back side of the wheel assembly.

"ABS" indecator light is on

Most common problems are front wheel bearings they are integral to the wheel speed sensors for ABS system. I'd get it scanned to see which side is faulty.

I have 2002 chevy trailblazer lt the abs light stay on

Most likely one of your ABS sensors are dirty or the wire has corroded. Common for the sensors to get dirty since there magnetic and a simple cleaning will fix this. The ABS sensors are on each wheel on the inner side and can be cleaned with brake parts cleaner. If there was rust from the rotor or dirty that got in between the speed ring and sensor, you most likely have to replace the sensor.
Start with cleaning and inspecting the sensors, it my just be dirt build up and the sensor needing realignment which is a quick fix. After that and you still have the ABS light on, one of your sensors have gone bad. Go to Auto Zone and buy the brake parts cleaner and have them scan your trailblazer for which ABS component when bad to help address which sensor it is and yes they scan free of charge.
Thank you for using fixya.

Driver's seat won't move and ABS lights come on

See if one of the wires under the seat is pinched and shorting out. The abs light maybe a dirty sensor.

It is the wheel speed sensor jumper harness more than likely on the driver side. They replaced the orginal with a newer better one but never issued a recall.
