Possible head problems.
If it's been overheated, you could have damaged the head/headgasket.
If this is true, you could experience issues like this, because you won't have proper ceating of the valves.

I have a 2001 Dodge 1500 3.9 Magnum. Truck keeps fouling plugs while setting overnight. I come out next morning & the plugs are gas soaked. I change plugs and it starts right up and runs great but when I...

the plugs are fouling from fuel leaking past injectors and injector seals into the inlet manifold
it is nor a plug problem but injector and excess fuel problem as the fuel rail retains pressure when the ignition is off so any faults in the system will leak that pressure into the manifold

What is the proper plug wire sequence on the ditributor cap for a 1998 Dodge Dakota 4 cilinder?

For all Dodge 4 cylinder engines, the firing order is 1-3-4-2
All dodge distributors rotate clockwise.
Standing on passenger side number 1 is at bottom left or 7:00 o clock.
going clockwise number 3 plug wire is next then number 4 then last one is number 2 wire.
plug wire number 1 is 7:00 o clock
plug wire number 3 is 11:00 o clock
plug wire 4 is 1:00 o clock
Plug wire number 2 is 5:00 o clock
