2000 Ford Vic PI 4.6L no hazard lights, no headlights, no turn signals, no interior lights/dashlights. Does have bypass lights and brake lights. Checked fuses and they are fine...any ideas?

yes, unfortunately just purchased...I'd bet good money the previous owner took it out. :-(

I went to a parts store and they sold me a "flasher unit" that doesn't even exist in this vehicle...I was pulling my hair out trying to find this non-existant part. I did some research after posting the question and discovered the LCM...then your post confirmed my what my research found.

Now where to find a working used one or shell out $350 for a new one...We'll see.

Once again thanks for your help.

I work on plenty of police and non police crown vics(mostly 2003 and newer) but i am not 100% sure if this car has a LIGHTING CONTROL MOBULE. the newer ones do. this module controls the headlights, interior lights, turn signals.etc. it is a black box located above the brake pedal but off towards the pass. side.not far from the OBD connector.i wanna say it has 2 or 3 electrical plugs. it would also help if you get a WIRING DIAGRAM. i dont know how much they cost but maybe try swapping in a used or alot of times ive been able to open up the plastic "case" and look to see if anything on the circuit board looks burnt. let me know if this helps!

im just curious- did u just buy the car and possibly the previous owner remowed the LCM(LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE) ?? im glad i could help--some companies seem to make their autos more complicated then they need to be - ford is a good example - which means fixing cars correctly has gotten harder over the years-being a good mechanic is more mental than physical sometimes.

$350.00 for a new one??!!! thats crazy! im thinking theyre not available aftermarket?? i cant say that they go bad that often as i really havent changed more than a few and i do work for local county gov't fleet of crown vics, tauruses ,escorts etc. so i work on a good amount of police cars and if something is gonna fail it would be on THOSE CARS.SO I THINK U SHOULD BE OKAY BUYING A USED ONE. LET ME KNOW HOW U MADE OUT!

If you have a 1999-2011 Mercury Marquis, Mercury Marauder, or Crown Victoria, and your headlights and or tail lights don\'t work, Ford just finally extended the warranty on your LCM (Lighting Control Module) for free - both parts and labor and will install a new one for free! Ford has extended the warranty to 15yrs/250,000. Must be done at Ford and the fix is free. Have your VIN # ready and call your local Ford Dealer and tell them you need to make an appointment because your lights don\'t work and Ford has extended your warranty on the LCM. Tell them it is the Customer Satisfaction Program 14N01. If they act stupid ask to talk to the manager or tell them to call Ford Motor Company and ask them or you can call Ford yourself. We just had ours done on 8-12-14 in at a Ford dealer Scottsdale, AZ. It must be done by a Ford Dealer. If you have a 99 you better call right away as it is a 15 year warranty.

Why did headlights and dashlights quit working?

Fuse is your first step. Check those out and if it is not that then you may have something a bit more complicated like a grounding issue.
