I would like to know where the main relay is in the 1989 ford ranger

Didn't see main relay, did see, eec power relay.
Hopefully, it is under hood, driver side, wheel well lining in relay pack. If several relays and you don't know which one, look at the wiring diagram for eec power relay, Match the wire colors with relay. If you can't read it, has free wiring diagrams, so does

My 89 ford ranger will some times stall and not start back. You can turn key but fuel pump doesn't start but next day it may run fine

I would suspect a bad eec relay. These used to go out commonly, and the eec relay is what powers up the fuel pump relay.

I would begin to look at a relay problem i have experience with Ford some of the relays are just not the best they seem to go on them allot however the relay would be my best solution to start looking keep in mind you might have a short or ground problem as well this vehicle is22 years old wires and switches are and corroded.

I have a 1989 ford ranger that doesn't have voltage to the starter relay. Where could the problem be or is there a relay fuse that could stop the power to the relay

Yes there is for fuse to the starter, it's under the driver's side dash. you will need a diagram of the fuses [ in the owner's manual or on-line at the Ford web site. good luck

Location of fuel pump relay on 89 ford ranger 2.9 v6

It's powered by fuse #1 in the battery fuse box, so I would think it should be right there somewhere. If it isn't labeled, see if you can turn the box over to see where fuse #1 leads to.

Test Electrical to Fuel Pump: 1991 Ford Ranger Ext Cab

The fuel pump safety switch is located in the cab on the toe board to the right of the transmission hump. Also check the fuel relay, it's under the hood with the other relays by the big fuses. Get a Chilton book.
