Replaced rear shocks and when you turn the key on the car jacks all the way up

Check the vehicle height sensor located at the rear trailing axle. It looks like a rod with 2 ball studs on both ends, this vehicle has air ride suspension, an air compressor operates as soon as the key is on, it gets feedback from the level sensor indicating the vehicle height via the height sensor, if it is disconnected, hanging down it thinks the vehicle is sitting low and keeps pumping air into the shocks until it sees a feedback from the sensor, it will eventually stop at its max travel.

Where is the location of the air ride compressor on a 2000 lincoln continental?

When looking at the engine of your 2000 Lincoln Continental you will notice a coner brace on the left front corner. Directly under the brace you see the air ride comnpressor. you will have to remove the corner brace to gain access to the compressor. Once you do so it is just a matter of a few hard to get to nuts to remove. The compressor has rubber tubes coming from it that supply the air to the air bladders on your suspension. Don't forget the disconnect the battery prior to disconnecting the wiring clips in order to avoid causing electrical damage.

I just purchased new back springs that i no are air equiped but was wondering if i need to do anything to them before i put them in, like add air? or just install them as is?

install them as is, the compressor (if functioning correctly) will fill them up to specified ride height (if leveling sensor working correctly). good luck!

My right rear suspension is flat on my 2000 Buick LeSabre Custom. I can hear the air compressor working. On that one side, it rides like a "lowrider." Could I need new shocks.

How many air compressor pumps are there in a 2000 ford expedition

HI. I assume you are referring to the air ride compressor pump. If so, there is only one central compressor, that distributes the compressed air, via line connections. This compressor should be located in the rear section of the vehicle, inside the left, or right panel.

Location my vary from model to model

A/C compressor will start and produce cold air (had Freon added as first try), but after an undetermined time the cold air will begin to warn up and within minutes it will begin to provide cold air again....

Check the coolant system, make sure the compressure clutch is engaged all the time. Check the a/c cycle switch located on the receiver and dryer also.
