When cold the engine funs fine but when it warms up it starts to miss and surges the warmer the engine gets the worst it gets till it hardly runs,dies,surges and will not accelerate.


problem indicates electronic component failure due to heat from current flow
run the fault codes to determine the area or sensor that has failed
could be a cam/crank position sensor , ignition control module , coil,even the ECM

stand the air intake on summer possition.you can find this on your ,
airfilter is a valve,its possible it stand in the wrong possition,winter or summer

I have a 03 tiburon gt 2.7 and when you hit the gas the engine revs up to about 3100rpm for about 10 secs the drops down to about 1500 and surges up and down form 1500rpm to 2000rpm then it will idle...


its gonna be your clutch i had the same problem, when i floor it the rpms would go high then drop and take off i replaced it and it runs fine know

sounds like you have a very dirty mass air flow meter. invest in a new one and be sure to clean the throttle body with an appropriate cleaner and tooth brush.

Engine siezed


the ignition coil would not make the engine sieze up, more likley that the car had no oli or the heatgasket caused this
