Instrument panel not working and battery keeps draining

My instrument panel does not work, checked all fuses and none are bad, also the battery keeps getting drained even after replacing alternator twice and having battery checked/charged 3X now. My over-drive light is out and tranny seems to be shifting hard. I suspect this is all tied to trnny problem but not sure how to trouble shoot... HELP!!

WITH THE KEY OFF AND OUT OF THE IGNITION, CHECK THE FUSES AND YOU MAY GET AN IDEA OF WHICH CIRCUITS ARE DRAWING POWER WHEN THE ENGINE IS OFF. I HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA. BEST OF LUCK

Can I restore a blown Mazda Bravo manual instrument cluster?

Look for a bad fuse for the cluster first. I'd want to fix the alternator voltage regulator before anything else.

There should be an instrument panel fuse in the fuse box located inside the car. Check the fuse and replace in needed.

What would make the entire instrument panel not work. i checked all fuses.

dodge had a bad run of circuit boards. the interior of your car must have become extremely hot and some of the traces of the instrument cluster have become disconnected because the solder melted. it is a known problem. the only solution is a replacement unit which will have to be done by a dealer to program it.

Were could i locate the fuse for the instrument panel it does not w turn on.

if none of the guages are working then most likely it is the instrument cluster's circuit board that has some bad contacts in it. there is a fuse for the cluster in the fuse panel to the left of the steering wheel.

Gauges don't work on my 2002 Aztek

My lift gate was n/working and I took someones advise and disconnected the negative cable on battery and reconnected. This has fixed the problem thus far. Then my instrument panel lits went out, I did the same as above as I checked the fuses and they were OK...so far disconnecting and reconnecting the battery cable has worked.

Instrument panel went dead

Checked Every fuse in the fuse box (no small task). This includes #4 - Power point Instrument Panel, #14 - Day time running lamps (auto lamps doesn't work nor does auto lock), #27 - ignition switch run feed, #35 - Instrument Cluster, #41 - Instrument Cluster, #42 - Delayed Accessory, #45 - Ignition switch run/start feed, #102 - Door locks body security module, #103 - Ignition switch, #110 - Ignition switch, & #116 - Ignition switch. But I also check all other ones as well, they all register OK. AC panel & radio work. Turn signals work. Mileage does not work, trip computer does. So, basically, everything works except auto head-lights, auto locks, and the dash cluster (no MPH, RPM, mileage display, Fuel, Temp, Tran Temp, and Oil Pressure).
