I RECENTLY STARTED HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY 2000 SIERRA 1500 WITH A 4.3L V6 ?W? MOTOR CODE. THIS IS A CFI ENGINE WITH THE SPIDER INJECTOR SET UP. OK LET ME GET TO THE POINT. I HAVE A NO START CONDITION IF THE CAR SETS MORE THAN TWO DAYS. SOMETIMES AFTER 15 MINUTES THE TRUCK WILL START. BUT RECENTLY WENT ON VACATION AND THE TRUCK SAT FOR THREE DAYS! BUT RIGHT BEFORE I WENT ON VACATION I WAS DRIVING HOME TO DROP OFF MY TRUCK AND I LOST ALL GUAGES THEY ALL WENT DEAD. AS I WAS DRIVING THEY CAME BACK ON. SO NO BIGGIE. WELL WHEN I GOT BACK TRIED STARTING THE TRUCK AND IT WOULD NOT START. IT WOULD TRY TO FIRE BUT WOULD NOT . I CHECKED THE FULL PRESSURE AND IT WAS PRETTY LOW. SO I REPLACED IT AND THE FULE FILTER. I CHECKED THE SPARK PLUGS AND THEY ALL LIGHT UP. SO HERE I AM, HAVE GOOD GAS PRESSURE SPARK BUT STILL NO START. I SO WHATS THE DEAL?

Sounds like a bad ground. Check your battery cables, make sure they are on tight, and not corroded. Check the engine compartment, and everywire that is directly on the body or engine, take it off and wire brush it. Next, go in the cab, and do the same thing, and there are probably wires UNDER the carpet, especially on the kick panels (right in front of the door). If anything looks corroded, try to take it off and wire brush it really good, to make a good contact. A good conductive grease, like dielectric, can help also.

CHECK YOUR ALTERNATOR OUT PUT USING A DIGITAL VOLTMETER. IT SHOULD BE 13.5 TO 14.5 VOLTS WITH ENGINE RUNNING.WITH ENGINE OFF BATTERY VOLTAGE SHOULD BE 12.5 VOLTS.ALSO CHECK FUEL PRESSURE IT SHOULD BE.60 TO 66 PSI. IF EVERY THING CHECK OUT OKAY.NEED TO SCAN IT TO SEE IF YOU HAVE ANY CODES.YOU COULD HAVE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS IN THE IGNITION SYSTEM.

2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 4.3L V6 was running fine and then the O2 Sensors went out. I have since replaced them but it with start then idle really rough then die if you let off the gas

Robert, have vehicle scanned for diagnostic codes. Check for vacuum leaks and if you have not done recently give vehicle a complete tune up cap, rottor, wires, plugs, filter's,etc, including injector/throttle body cleaning. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

My GMC Silverado 1500 will start but wont stay running

You didn't state what year your truck is... I have a 2000 GMC SIERRA which gave me trouble.. would not start until 2nd or 3rd try.. You are probably having trouble with the fuel injectors. The fuel injectors are located beneath the air intake plenum... Not a hard job to do your self. Took me a couple of hours. The plenum is located under what resembles the carburetor..I went around and around for about 2 years , and finally replaced the fuel injector spider. And what a relief. Problem solved... I found the injectors online for under 200..Be patient..And GOD BLESS !

Check the oil, smell the oil,to see if there is a gas smell to it,if so,the injector spider, has a broken injector line. The intake will have to be removed to replace the injector.

I have a 1995 gmc jimmy 4x4 i check fuel pressure an the voltage

a simple 12vdc will not due, it needs a pulse signal from the computer. a full 12vdc could fry the injectors, but the spider assemblys in them v6's are always a @$!$@ up design. i have encountered alot of them with bad pcm, or the spider.

if it is the plastic hump and a plug on top and two metal lines going in top the injector set up is under the plastic cover and expensive to boot but they have a problem with them clogging up had a 01 astro van same motor and the injectors look like a spider good luck but it should carry at least 60 psi of pressure

Check the fuel regulator. Pull the vacuume line. If fuel comes out, it's bad.
Another thing to check are your plug wires. When its dark, Start the engine, put on the A/C, radio, headlights, anything to put a load on the motor, and go to the engine compartment and look for cross firing on the plug wires.
