95 grand cherokee runs great for about ten minutes then runs bad
Have 4.0 liter. after it runs bad it dies.when it cools back down it does the same thing, runs great till it warms up then starts backfireing and popping then dies. I've replaced the cam,crank,temp,map sensors, coil,cap and roter, wires and tried two remanufactured pcms.don't have a clue.can anybody help? thanks

After it stalls, turn the key back on and listen for the fuel pump in the tank. If you don't hear it it's likely it's bad. (bad ones bind when hot and usually show no code). Otherwise check the wiring continuity for the cps and check the signal from the pickup in the distributor. (check all the way to the computer itself. Of course, check all the relays and make sure they are good (most can be interchanged with each other except for ac relay)
Either there is still air in the cooling system or you are correct that the headgasket has failed.
Running with the cap of for at least 20 minutes should clear the air out of the cooling system. If it continues to bubble after that than the bubbles are likely combustion gases sneaking by the head gasket.
Let run it with the cap on and let it start pushing coolant into the overflow. Shut it down and smell the coolant reservoir. If it smells like exhaust it is the head gasket.
