Oil and transmission fluid mixing and leaking from under car 99 Buick century and now car will not change gears

you need to look at the tranny cooler located in radiator that's the only way tranny fluid can get out but how its crossing over to motor oil im not sure unless you also have a motor oil cooler in the radiator.and that will cause tranny problems ,don't try to drive till you resolve these issues., my other thought is oil is leaking out back of motor and mixing with leaking tranny fluid, try draining tranny first to see if motor oil is really in tranny.

The transmisson neutralies on hard stops I had the trans services and it still is doing the same thing

By serviced, do you mean the fluid, and filter have been changed? Good start...but sounds like no remedy? An inexpensive try would be to add a bottle of "Lucas Oil Transmission Stabilizer"...you do not need to drain any fluid to do this...this treatment will lubricate better than just the fluid...about $12. at most parts stores...Be sure to follow instructions..."add when motor running...tranny is warm..." drive after adding...Hope this helps...:)

How many litres of transmission fluid does a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T (5.7L V8) contain to be considered the proper amount of transmission fluid? Ex. The 2006 Dodge Charger R/T should take 6.7 litres of oil...

I don't know the exact liters, but if you are just changing the filter it would be 5 qts, maybe 5 liters. And if you are in a total rebuild, it would be 15 qts, or say 15 liters, We don't work with liters over here. I know your 5.7 liter engine is about 340 cubic inches. A quart is real close to a liter, 3.8 liters = 4 qts. If your tranny doesn't have a dipstick, it has 2 plugs on the right side of the tranny, one for level, one for fill, If you pull the level and nothing seeps out, fill it up, till it seeps out the bottom, then put the plugs back in. The tranny will drip for a month if you let it, so when you change the filter, you never really know how much dripped out, exactly, you could measure what came out, but what if it was low to start? Check it out, hope this helps.

How much trans fluid goes in 1989 buick century?

Automatic Transmission, Total Fill
4 speed THM440-T4..........7.6 liters
3 speed THM125C..........6.6 liters

If your just topping off the fluid, make sure the transmission is at it's operating temperature and the level should between add and full on the transmission dipstick while the engine is running on level ground in park. Take two reading if not three, the last reading is always the one your go with.
Good luck and hope this helps.

My 2001 BUICK CENTURY TRANNY STOPS WORKIN AFTER 3 MIN.

Might want to remove the pan and look how much debris is in there. they can draw debris into the filter for like 15 minutes until it just wont let any more fluid go by then trans will neutralize. when you let it sit the debris by gravity falls back to the bottom of the pan. If this is the case changing fluid and filter may be a temporary fix but honesly when theres that much debris in there it needs rebuilt--in fact sometimes after fluid and filter change they wont move at all. The thick fluid and dirt provides some pressure. Hope I helped. Thanks

Transmission shifts extremely hard.I had trans rebuilt, still

The Buick (GM) Corp, has offically released this as an on-going problem with this style of tranny, but will not issue a recall. Basically, it can only be fixed by replacing the pressure valve within the tranny. This is a costly fix (400 to 650, depending on the shop). The pressure valve (over time) wears a groove between the valve cylinder wall and piston (of valve) which allows tranny fluid to bypass thru the line, thus causing the hard shifting, mostly when the tranny is hot and the fluid is thin. Trust me when I say, no other fix will work, such as changing tranny fluid, flush and fill, or any additives such as Seafoam or other tranny slip or fix additives. Bite the bullet and find a tranny shop which will give you a LIFE TIME warranty, mostly, in case they install yet another defective valve.
