Question about 1992 Chevrolet Lumina
Power windows on driver door doesn't work. Turn signal must be held down to turn left..won't stay on, sometimes doesn't work. Should we go to a body shop or where for solution? Is there a way to fix it ourselves or is it too involved? Thanks for your help
Actually both of these are an easy fix if you are somewhat mechanically inclined and have tools
the window is either the switch, or the motor is burned out , to check this you have to take the door panekl off and test the poer to the motor and the switch with a voltage meter. if its the switch just replace if its the motor you can replace as well but it is a little more involved, I would reccomend getting the repair manual from the library or buying it from your local parts sotre , you can also join autozone.com and they have quite a bit of free diagrams and such online
now the switch could either be the actual ftrun signal switch is bad or the flasher is bad, i wouold try checking to see of the flasher relay weas bad at first and then go to the turn signal switch replacement from there , again the schematics can be found with the aboe books
