Deflated radiator hose (top and bottom)

I've changed the thermostat and radiator, drove less than 5 miles and it started to overheat. Raised the hood expected to see antifreeze and didn't, however I noticed that both hoses were deflated. HELP!!!

Have you tried taking off the radiator cap and adding coolant into it then turning on the car and heat to open up the thermostat and addinging until it is completely full in the radiator and there is no more burping?

You have to remember that refilling antifreeze you must know what to do, must make sure that all Air pockets are removed from the raditator.

Remove the thermostat and run the engine at idle until it starts to overheat. If it does then the radiator may have clogged veins and needs replacing.

Overheating is a sign, and no heat coming from the heater is another.

Sounds as if the head gasket is leaking compression pressures into the cooling system. It seems that this problem has just occurred recently. This can be checked at your rad shop. They have a tool that uses a chemical solution that changes color if there is any engine gases present in the coolant.

1999 FORD ESCORT ZX2 radiator hoses swell and burst

you've got a serious overheating issue creating the pressure. Your temp gauge must be reading hot too.
If not, then you have engine compression pressure getting into the cooling system through a blown head gasket.
Replacing the cap will not help.

Thermostat is faulty.
It can be found by grabbing the top radiator hose and following back to the engine. The housing this hose is clamped to is the thermostat housing. Remove the 2 bolts, and the cover o reveal the thermostat.
It should cost less than $20 for a thermostat and gasket.
Replace it and your overheating isues will go away.
