SOURCE: 6 disc changer will not eject cds==
I had the same problem for months. I checked the owners manual, checked the fuse box, everything I could think of. Then, today, I did some online research and someone said one of the CD's is probably just jammed or slipped out a bit. The suggestion was to gently slide a credit card over the disk (through the door/slot, which in my case was partially open). I just tried it. The door closed and the message said "initializing". It worked! The CD player is back to normal.

Well if you didn't already know all jeep chrysler dodge factory cd players don't work very well. I have sprayed high pressure air into mine and it has help but may not solve the problem permanently. I would suggest buying a new cd player. sorry

If the
changer isn't ejecting you will need to physically remove the changer
and take the over off to physically remove the cartridge. This is a bit of a trick to do, you may need to take it to the dealer (sorry to say).
There might be a reset button on the face of changer next to eject
button (about a 1/8" push it w/ a pentip) you could also try unplugging
the changer for a minute and plug it back in.
Also, could try this article about 2001-2004 Mustang CD Player Installation or you can go to the dealer, They will remove your radio, Write down
the code thats on the back of the radio. They will then call a stereo
repair shop and they will send the dealer a new radio. When the dealer
recieves the radio., They will remove yours, Send it back to the repair
shop so they can remove the cd's for you, and then return the cd's to
the customer.
Hope helps.
