Ok, Then why would someone on here say to disconnect the harness to the tcc solanoid and run it a few miles to see if the car stalls out?? I was told to change it and would have to go in thru the side of the trans to do it. Is that correct??

I'm still a little confused about why you would unhook the harness to see if the car will stall,if its not electrical then why would someone from here say to do that??

The harness for the solenoid pack is for communication from engine like throttle position, vehicle speed, engine speed, engine load, brake pedal position, etc. to control exact shift points as well as how soft or firm the shift should be. When you unplug this, it won't change your problem since TCC solenoid is mechanical not electrical control. When you unplug this transmission hardness, the car will run only one gear whichever is available at its current position since it can not shift since it doesn't have information mentioned above.

My 1992 oldsmobile cutles cirra wont shift down when i come to a stop it stalls out?

If the transmission has a TCC (torque converter clutch), then the TCC solenoid could be bad. Disconnect the square four wire connector on the side of the transmission. If the problem goes away during the test drive, then the solenoid is bad and must be replaced.

I have a 1987 2.8 litre olds ceria it has 60000 kilometers it belonged to old coulple never drove it . It runs like new car but after maybe 40 minutes of driving when you come to stop and try to go again...

It's the TCC solenoid in the transmission. It is under the pan that is on the side of the transmission.TCC is for torque converter clutch. You can un plug the the wires that go into the front of the transmission until you get it replaced, you just wan't have overdrive. But you can drive it.

1995 olds cutlass ciera 3.1 V-6 stalls when warm

Some times the fuel line may be too close to the exhaust manifold or engine and can create a condition called vapor lock. This is where the fuel is heated to a vapor in the fuel line. This is easily corrected by just moving the fuel line away from the source of the heat.
