On 1992 ford explorer 4 li where does # 1 plug in on coil pack

The camshaft marks will line up at every other rotation of the crankshaft. The crank turns two revolutions for every one revolution of the camshaft.

The coil order-do you mean the firing order? It is 1-3-4-2. Cylinders 1 & 4 share one coil. Cylinders 2 & 3 share the other coil. On the coil pack, #1 is to the outside, then # 4 inward of #1. On the other coil, # 3 is to the outside, and # 2 is inward of # 3. (These should be marked or identified on the coils.) So looking at the coil pack, it will be 1-4-2-3. But the firing order is 1-3-4-2, as all 4 cylinder engines are.

Both packs are 1-3-4-2, although the exhaust side does so at a fraction less than the intake side.

1 is right front, but coil pack should be marked with cylinder numbers as below. Firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6. OK?

Uh....V-8 or V-6?? If it's a V-6, the coil pack is marked 1 - 6. The cylinders are number 1 - 3 starting from the pass. side front of the head, 4 - 6 on the driver's side of the head starting from the front of the engine.
