It doesn't sound like your timing is lined up properly, it sounds like your timing is out. i recommend you check your timing to your cam and crank to ensure they are lined up

1988 300zx 2+2 rough running, alot of exhaust smoke

for one thing...working on this sort of vehicle with just personal know how, is chancy. Sounds to me like the fuel injection system was totally out of synch, hence the smoking, knocking, etc. So, let's begin with a few issues.

Get a service manual on this, like Chilton's etc, study it thoroughly, then find a buddy with direct experience. These 300zx cars are finicky at best(they are called the Japanese Jaguars, due to their tempermental attitude).

And, then, maybe, you'll wind up with a serviceable vehicle.

Hi my vauxhall combo 1700 di 54 plate wont start

I'D REPLACE THOSE SENSORS OR REPAIR THE WIRING WHICH EVER IS THE CAUSE. YOU NEED A LIVE DATA SCANNER TO DO THIS REPAIR MOST LIKELY. THAT MEANS THE DEALER.

1992 Toyota Celica wont start after warming up.

moister in dizzy cap and sounds like it has a hair line crack try cranking it over in the dark when engine is warm you will see spark leaving the cap if its cracked when its warm the spark escapes alot easier and wont start.

Vauxhall combo wont start with key but will start when bumped

could be engine isnt cranking fast enough which is a bad earth from battery to engine or a starter motor with the windings faulty or just a duff battery ,it must have a minimum of a 74amp hour battery to work right a 45 amp one will not crank engine fast enough thats for sure

remove the belt and check all the pulleys that the belt drives. sound as if one of the bearings in the pulley is seized making the belt squeal and smoke.

First of all. you have to line up the rotor to the number one distributor tower with the engine at O" TDC, so your timing probably was initially correct. Sounds like you are getting TOO MUCH FUEL. Could be fuel pressure regulator located on fuel rail. Also your plugs are probably fouled too from all the excess fuel.
