I would suggest you change the cable to a new one and make sure they are tight

Won't start

Hello when you say won't start it is turning over but won't catch and start if i'm corect then turn the key on. Do not to turn the engine over or atempt to start just until the dash lights come on.Now turn your head towards passenger seat as turning the key on listem for a grunt sound if you do not hear it then you will have to change your fuel pump. You might have to repeat the steps a couple of times to be sure the grunt sound is not present.I ask prior to this did you notice a low growling sound comeing from back seat area by any chance?.Well I hope the advice given helps you.regee

sounds like a fuel pump problem. take off gas cap and have someone sit in the truck and turn iginition key to on. (do not turn key as if you were starting but to "on only") you should hear the fuel pump engage. if you dont hear the fuel pump then check the fuel pump relay. it is located behind the glove compartment. hope this helps...

2003 Ford Ranger (Mazda B2300) won't start via starter or push

Did you remove the faulty cable and replace it with a new one? sometimes a cable can be so badly corroded it's rendered useless, as the corrosion can travel all the way along the cable, if you have a multi tester check the resistance ( Ohms ) using the top and end of the affected cable, you should get a high pitched sound when you connect both ends ( to the meter ) thewad001

Main problems

Engine noise: Growling sounds in the engine compartment when the A/C is running are caused by the high pressure line at the condenser outlet requiring a redesigned line. (2006) Engine stalling: The engine may quit running because the driver inadvertently switches off the ignition with his/her knee, especially if a large, heavy key ring for which the company offers a cover for the ignition key. (2006) Steering noise: A clunk that may also be felt in the steering wheel when turning may be due to insufficient lubrication in the steering intermediate shaft. (2006) Steering problems: Power steering fuses are frequently blown due to improper jump starting when both cable leads are connected to the terminals of the underhood junction block because both terminals are positive.
