Question about 2002 Oldsmobile Alero

Open Question

I own a 2002 olds alero. When I put the car in drive and hit the gas pedal it makes sort of a gurgling noise. While driving I put it in neutral and hit the gas and the noise went away. It sounds like it is something that spins as it gets quiet as I go faster.

Sometimes when I drive my 2002 Olds Alero, when I need to stop, the rpms stay up at 1500-2000. It makes car hard to stop. it will go away if I turn the car off and on again

Accelerator cable may be sticking and not allowing the throttle to fully close when there is no pressure on the gas pedal. Check the cable at the throttle body to make sure the throttle is fully closing. This can also because by a faulty idle air control (IAC) motor.

My 1999 buick century started making this squealing sound when ever i hit he gas, but stops when i break, what could it be? also, when i push on the gas pedal, i hear this water gurgling type sound co

the sound is from loose belts ( poor condition belts) that slip from the acceleration. Check power steering belt, ac belt and generator drive belts of if one belt check condition and tension.

Why does my car make noise on neutral but when i hit the gas pedal it goes away?

You need to locate the source of noise first , it seems to noise of drive line only. Which consist of flywheel , clutch system and gear box.
1) In case you are having same problem with clutch engaged or disengaged position ( while throttle is on) , then there is a possible problem with the neutral gear ( if it is not abnormal but just high in magnitude than it was previously than consider replacing the transmission oil) otherwise get the gear box checked with a transmission specialist.
2) In case you are having the noise problem only when clutch is engaged than u may consider to refit the clutch plate and pressure plate , there could be a problem of torquing.

Transmission problems

It could be a sign of bad transmission solenoid. If so, your vehicle has trouble shifting into drive or reverse. Normally, when you start your car, you're able to shift into drive or reverse right away. With a bad transmission solenoid, the vehicle could have a delay of a few seconds, or even take several minutes to warm up and operate properly. During this delay, the vehicle will act similar to how it behaves in neutral. It won't stay in park, and when you press the gas pedal, the vehicle will make an engine revving noise but not move.

1997 s10 2 wheel drive truck. 4.3L v6 makes a loud noise as the car accelerates fast or under load. When running 55 I can release the gas pedal and the noise is not audible. I can put the truck in neutral...

Your noise sounds like it is power train related,If you have eliminated the engine,Since it doesn't make the noise while moving and in neutral.
It sounds like a universal joint in the drive shaft.Do you notice a vibration
along with the noise?

Noise coming from front left wheel area

May be CV-joint going. Have a look at boot for hole that dirt may have been getting in damaged it. Never hurts to inspect brakes while wheel is off.
