I can't remove a rubber fuel line with a strange metal fitting on it connecting it to one of the metal fuel lines.

As far as I can tell you are describing a pressed on clip. The only way off is to cut using a cutting pliers. I BELIEVE YOU ARE DESCIBING A LOW PRESSURE LINE. Just verify it first by calling the parts store or dealer. If so clip it off R/R the hose & install a new gas line w/ a clamp. Good Luck, Frank M

How do you replaces sway bar link on a 1991 chev k2500

Most of these are a simple bolt with rubber bushings and spacers. With vehicle sitting on the ground and ebrake set, loosen the link bolts on both sides without completely removing them, then finish removing one and assemble new parts in the order you removed the old ones, being careful to put the rubber parts and metal washers together same as they were. Do other side same. Now tighten the bolts enough so that rubber bushings are compressed just enough to swell the rubber to the same size as the retaining washer and no more. DONE!

96 ram brake hose

Undo the nut on the metal line that goes into the end of the rubber hose. Then slide out the "C" clip that holds the metal hose in the bracket. Pull the hose out of the bracket. loosen the hose in the caliper and unscrew it out . Replacement with a genuine hose ensures safety from a certified hose is the reverse process . You will need to completely bleed the brakes as fluid will be lost and air will get to the system during the process.

Pull the panel around the outer periphery there are bird beak plastic retainers holding the panel to the inner door metal. You will have to give it a slight jerk with hand or purchase a tool at the local auto store to slid under the panel in the clip area. You can buy birds beak retainers at the auto store if you break them.

How to replace gas tank on 1989 ford f150

Hopefully its not full of gas. Loosen the hose clamps for your filler tube just below the neck inside the fenderwell. With a jack under the tank, loosen the bolts that hold the tank in place, lower it a little bit, on top of the tank you will see an oval wire plug that will lift straight up, remove that. Pull the rubber vent line off of the vent valve, now the two gas lines. One will have a white plastic lock that slides down into the connector. you will need to use a small screwdriver to get under the clip to pry it up and off. the same goes for the othe gas line, but the plastic lock will be black. pay attention which one goes where for installing it back together. Be careful when pulling the lines off, due to there may be some fuel pressure in the lines. nothing a rag can't handle while taking the lines off. It would be a good idea to buy a new white and black clip before you start. Since most of the time they break when taken apart. Also the age of your truck you might want to consider buyung new tank straps. They just turn to remove the one end that doesn't bolt. Just reverse the procedure to install. Its also best to inst the new clips before the lins are put on. That way, all you have to due is push the gas lines on until you here them click into place. Once done, cycle the key on a couple of times to make sure nothing is leaking.

How do you remove & replace the rubber hoses that run from the gas tank to the metal fuel lines? The hose goes between the frame and body of the car I can not pull or push them out, so how are you...

Step 1-Determine type of fuel line to be replaced. Rubber hoses will have clamps on both ends that should be loosened with screw driver. Nylon and steel lines will have a ferrule at both ends removed and replaced using proper size line wrench

Step 2-Using proper size line wrench or screwdriver, loosen fittings by turning counter clockwise. Catch fuel remaining in lines in a gasoline safe container.

Step 3-Remove defective fuel line and install the new line or hose opposite of removing. Take care not to strip or cross-thread fittings as this will cause leaks.

Step 4-Dispose of remaining fuel in an OSHA safe container.

hope it helps-
