Question about Chrysler Concorde
First of all Check the shift linkage and the downshift mechanism. If the downshift rod is adjusted wrong or disconnected, the transmission may be getting a signal that you are trying to pass, leaving the transmission in a lower gear. If it's a newer, computer controlled transmission, it may be a speed sensor, relay, electrical connector or a problem with the internal valve body.try using some penatrating spray on the shift linkage which is located on top of the concorde.
The speed sensor is located behind the front driverside wheel over the cv boot. The wire for it is supported on the strut.
The output speed sensor is located on the transmission near the middle of the car. To get to it, the car must be lifted, either by jacks or a hydraulic lift at an auto shop. The sensor is basically under the center console of the car.
its easy to replace ,there are 2 speed sensors on this vehicle... both are on the tranny driver side... front one is output back one is input... you need to unlatch the plugins and a 1" deep socket and ratchet... make sure car is cooled down... about 5 mins on each...
please keep updated.please do rate the solution if helped.thank you for using fixya.
