Question about 2000 BMW 3 Series
I have a 2000 bmw 323i and I have lost reverse in the trans. My mechanic just replaced the three selenoids in the valve body and refilled it with 237 dollars worth of bmw trans oil. After he put everything back together the car still wont grab reverse. The computer is registering that its being shifted into reverse, the R comes up on the screen and the idle jumps a little bit but feels like its in nuetral. I am trying to not rebuild due to the cost of it all and just wondering how possible it is that maybe something is just sticking in the valve body or if I should stop wasting my time and just totally rebuild the damn thing....Please help if you have any answers for me thanks!!!! I think you should speak to a transmission place local.
i think your clutch drum is faulty and yes it would need a replace.
i know transmission people will look at it for free, if its a good place they will know as must of had this type of box in before.
i get this on other makes and yes it it finished but every make of box is different.
