The CE light has been on brand new vehicles before they are sold. It could be anything from your gas cap being loose, to a bad cat converter.

Most Advance Auto stores and Auto-zones will do a free scan. Just don't automatically buy what they say the scan says. write down the codes and research them. A "small evap leak detected", can be the aforementioned gas cap, or a break in the evap system. An O2 code can be a bad O2 sensor, ot an O2 sensor that see's too little oxygen in the exhaust because the system is running poorly. (even though it seems fine to you)

Bottom line , get it check, but don't worry too much. All the light is saying is there is something wrong with your pollution system.

One last note, if you vehicle is less than 8years old you still have a warranty on certain pollution items, so check it out before you pay someone to replace. The cat for one is covered for 8/80k.

Hope this helps.

I have a 2003 STS with only 63000 miles and my rear shocks are worn out--is this normal?

If your car has automatic rear air leveling system, no this is not normal, but if you have regular shock's, life time is about 70,000.

When should I change my timing belt on my 2007 hyundai accent gs hatchback? it has 63000 miles on it.

you wont need to change it until at least 100,000 miles. Typically that will last the life of the car. But alot of people, including myself, wait until it breaks to replace it. It is about $1000 to replace because the engine has to be partially disassembled.

No Oil pressure Stop Engine Safely,Yet Car was running fine.Starts and Runs Engine check light came on the text msg ,I Dont wont to Drive and ruin an engine What should i do.I had a computer issue @48000...

sounds like the oil is not curculating through engine. it may have a clog in the oil passage way, or there is a problem with the oil pump in oil pan on bottom of transmission.

Replace the throttle position sensor then. Am pretty certain that's the problem.

You might have it checked for codes too. Sometimes codes are stored that do not cause a CEL, but give clues as to what is failing.

2002 Lincoln ls air bag light came on 63000 miles someone told me it has to be reset.......

If the air bag light is on there is a problem with the air bag. The light means the air bags will not deploy in an accident. Only a qualified tech should work on air bags.

Any check engine light on? I would check the TPS or throttle position sensor. Spray some carb and choke cleaner in the throttle body while the car is running. Good luck

Check engine light is on

You have to take it to a garage and have a code scanner connected to it to find out what is causing the light to come on.
There is a lot of sensors, and any one of them could cause the light to come on.Be prepared to pay $60 to $100. If there is an autozone parts store near you, call and see if they do it.Some of them do it free.It only takes about 30 seconds to retrieve the code or codes.good luck.
