Question about 2003 Nissan Altima
I have been having trouble with an unusual fault which is gradually getting worse. It only seems to happen when i turn on the headlights, either side lights or main. Some times i get a big drop in engine power when i am exelerating, while the engine is ticking over all seems fine. Other times it is ok until i turn on the indicators then the power drops in time with the indicatore flashing. Some times when indicating left other times when i indicate right, but only when the headlights are on. i have asked a couple of garages to take a look but they have failed to find the fault. I was considering changing the light control stalk as it semms to be the only thing that i can think is connected to both lights and indicatots. Hope someone can help with this. Mark
Clean the push connectors to the rear o/s light unit (follow the changing bulb instructions to get at the unit - it's quite straight-forward - I managed and I'm not exactly handy that way). You may need to push it back on now and again, but this does the trick for me - same problem.

You may need to upgrade your altenator or change your voltage regulator.
