2003 Grand Cherokee crd 2.7 diesel. Won't start at all - appears to be fuel problem. Will be checking pump first, then immobilier. Any other ideas re likely problem ?
Check the glow plug rail, Its easy to do, get a thick electric cable and hold it on the positive side of the battery and then onto the Rail connecting the glow plugs, do this for 20-30 seconds and try to start the engine, or better still get a friend to start the engine while you hold the cable on.
Diesel engines work on heat and compression, so if your glow plugs are weak then you wont get the heat needed to create combustion.
