1994 Park Avenue. starts then wont start

1994 Park Avenue. Starts just fine. Drive for a while stop and shut off, car while not start again. While trying to start car it rolls over ok, just will not fire and run. Let the car sit over night and starts just fine and run. This is a intermitent problem. Could it be a fuel filter or fuel pump problem, or maybe an ignition problem

Replace crank sensor. They get hot and stop working.

1994 Buick Park Avenue: will not start with out jumping, Replaced the battery, problem remains. Can jump start the car and drive it but when shut down for a few minutes it will not restart using battery...

QUESTION: Without a jump, does the motor crank when you turn the key to "START"?

...

If you can jump start it, then you know you have spark, fuel and compression; you know your starter and ignition are fine.

My guess is a loose/missing connection at the positive battery terminal for your starter.

I have a 94 buick park avenue. The car starts n drives fine and is n pretty fair condition but after driving continuously for an extended amount of time(couple hours ) the vehicle begins to lose...

Could be any of several things but most likely to be fuel starvation caused by anything including a foreign body in the fuel tank, tank breather, weak fuel pump or semi-blocked filter.

Lots of checking which might not reveal much due to needing to drive a couple of hours before the problem happens.

Engine stalls and dies after it has warmed up. starts right back up. Can't figure it out.

If your car has a crank sensor by the crank pulley replace it car starts runs grate shuts off like some one turn key off but starts back up maybe runs a little longer or the same

My 1994 buick park avenue will just turn off randomly while im driving and all i have to do is stop put it in park and turn off the key then start it like normal and then i can drive. sometimes it does...

The problem is your Vats security system. This causes the car to either "not start" or "shut down" while running. (depending on the system) If the security light flashes, i guarantee that this is what the problem is. 1st trick, (if not starting)turn the key forward 2 clicks till right before it would normally start, leave like that for 10 minutes. ( no less ) After 10 minutes, turn key back then forward and your car might start.

Cheap fix:
----- http://vats.likeabigdog.com/
----- Bypassing the key

Never worry again fix:
----- http://newrockies.ca?ap_id=judd0081
----- With this fix, you can take that whole Vats, passlock, passkey **** system out of your car all together. Good info on both sites. I just did the NEWROCKIES bypass on my regal. Worth the 200 bucks, did it myself in under and hour

My buick park avenue wont start, i think its a fuel pump relay

the relay can be found in the fuse box thats located under the hood open the box and look for the fuse or relay that says fuel pump. this fuse box is usually on the drivers side of the vehicle but it can also be on the passenger side.
