Passive keyless entry light on in my 1994 Corvette

I can't seem to find any answers on how to get my passive keyless entry light off on my dash. I have put in a new battery, turned the key on and bumped the starter and let it sit for 15 min. to reprogram the compurter, this didn't work either. Anyone out there know what to do?
