How do i find fuse for horn

There is a relay for the horn, too. You can simply unplug that.

You didn't define your vehicle. Check the owner's manual for fuse locations.

Horn relays are found under the hood in a fuse/relay enclosure. The horn switch on the steering wheel is part of a low-current circuit that activates the horn relay. That circuit's fuse will be located in the interior fuse panel, wherever that is hiding!

My horn doesnt work in my 2004 chevy impala

I will try first checking if they are not unplugged. They are under the hood right in front of the radiator below the passenger head light next to the bumper. and the fuses are located inside on the left side next to the head lights switch

Horn is not functioning on my 2006 Ford Taurus. I have checked the fuses listed in the owners manual. I however can't seem to locate the Horn Relay. I found a secondary relay box stuck between the battery...

Is the air bag light lit on the instrument cluster ? The horn relay isn't under the hood in the engine compartment , it's in the SJB - smart junction box located inside the passager compartment . Under the dash panel left side . You can take the relay back to autozone because it's not the right one ! The relay is inside the smart junction box ,soldered to the printed circuit board !
Horn Horn
The vehicle is equipped with dual horns. The horns are mounted in the LF frame rail corner behind the front bumper.
The horn system consists of the following components:
  • steering wheel horn switches
  • clockspring
  • horns
  • smart junction box (SJB)
Horn Switch, Steering Wheel Mounted
The horn switches are incorporated within the driver side air bag module in the steering wheel. The switches are grounded and control the horns through the clockspring. For removal and installation of the driver side air bag module, refer to Section 501-20B .

Have a repacement horn, but cannot locate the dead one I wish to replace.

generally horns are mounted in front of the radiator mount wall, yet behind the cosmetic front grill. oftentimes beneath or next to a head light assembly. look around in that area and i bet you will find it.

you have 3 components, a relay, a horn, and a switch along with a fuse for the circuit. usually if the fuse was bad some other component would not work. the horn relay would generally be found in the fuse panel. you can find the fuse panel location by looking in the owners manual. it is not rare for the horn switch to fail, can be an issue as the steering wheel generally has to be partially taken apart to replace that switch.

you can always go to a dealer and ask the parts guy to show you an illustrated parts breakdown on the car, that way you will know exactly where the horn is, and have him show you one of his horns to make sure yours resembles it. sometimes you have a 3 male prong connector on the car and a 2 prong female connector horn which will not work, so you want to have the right kind of horn before you begin.

good luck

Where is the horn relay located found fuse horn will not cut off unless u take fuse out drawing down battery trying to check to see if relay bad cannot find it

The horn relay is located under the hood with the fuses. look inside the lid when you remove it from the fuse/relay box and it will tell you where the relay is located. To test the relay use an ohm meter and connect one end to 87a and the other end of meter to 30. there should show continuity. then check between 87 and 30 and there should be no continuity. if all of this checks out then check resistance between terminals 85 and 86. It should read 70/80 ohms. if not replace relay. If it shows good then connect a jumper wire between battery positive terminal to 86 and a ground jumper to 85 terminal. You should hear a click or clicking sound. If not replace relay. hope this will help you.
