Go to your computer search for fusebox diagrams and find out where the starter relay is, most likely its a square black box inside the under hood black square fuse block.

When jumped my truck runs but wont start again. i replaced battery and it still wont start

check the resistance on the wires from the battery to your fuse panel and your ground wires also check to make sure you have good connections inside your fuse box if all is good there try to bench test the starter by applying a direct 12 volt power supply to.

My car runs fine for days then i'll park somewhere and go to turn it back on and it won't start at all. It won't turn over or anything.

CHECK BATTERY CONNECTIONS, STARTER CONNECTIONS, WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN IT DOESN'T START, TO GET IT GOING AGAIN, DO YOU GET A JUMP START IF SO CHECK CONNECTIONS.

Car will not start- checked fuses -replaced starter- checked battery-have power to all- if run direct wire to starter it will start. Is there a link between battery and starter?

Yes, there should be a second power wire that runs from the positive terminal post down to the starter itself. You might also have a Starter Relay, which means that from the positive terminal post of the battery it runs to a relay usually connected to the fender well that then has a wire that runs down to the starter.

The CRANK RELAY primary wire (control circuit) is a YELLOW / BLACK wire and it goes to pin #23 in connector C1 at the PCM. If I were a betting man, I would say that the most likely cause of this problem is that the YELLOW/BLACK wire is shorting to ground. This will cause the start relay in the UNDERHOOD FUSE AND RELAY BOX to energize and make the starter engage. This wire runs from the PCM (Located inside the air cleaner assembly) to the START RELAY. (Located on the right stut tower in the UNDERHOOD FUSE AND RELAY BOX. Inspect the wiring harness all the way along this path. You will most likely find a place where the harness is rubbed through and there you will find the YELLOW/BLACK wire is most likely shorting to ground.

fuse 8 40a supplies power to starter relay and ignition switch, to close the starter solenoid and engage the starter which draws directly from the battery. check to see that the starter relay is closing, if not ensure that the park neutral switch is not faulty (open circuit), it provides path to close relay (ground side) on the 85 - 86 terminals. if the starter relay does not close the starter will not run. if you have a spare relay swap out the relay for a quick fix attempt. hope this helps
