SOURCE: What is the warranty on a 2003 Kia Sedona as far

That would fall under the federal emissions warranty, 80,000 miles, no time limit as far as I know.

Most "common" cause is and engine misfire that causes unburned fuel to enter the converter and overheat/melt the catalyst. The converter is covered by 8yr/80,000 mile warranty for defects, and may be covered thru Kia. On a positive note we have a 2005 sedona shuttle van a work with 250,000 miles on it and qoing strong.

Kia Sedona bank 2 catalyst converter

My best suggestion is to see if local wrecking yard has a catalytic converter (preferably a pair, 1 for each bank) from a newer wrecked Kia Sedona or similar vehicle. According to my manuals that cover Sephia/Spectra, the catalytic converters are connected to the exhaust system with bolts, and in some applications, springs and bolts. The Chilton/Haynes repair manual, which I was referencing, has step by step instructions in doing this repair. The best investment you can make is a Chiltons/Haynes repair manual that covers your make/model/year of vehicle. I do find it odd that the cat converter went bad on one side only, and on what would be considered a newer vehicle. I'm running the original cat converters in GM and Kia vehicles, and the newest one is 2002.

Check engine light on 2004 Sedona. Codes reat catalytic converter, exhaust, etc. Car has only 65,000 miles on. Just passed inspection less than 24 hrs prior to light coming on. Can this be anything...

I would suggest checking with dealer as most KIAs have a 100,000 mile warranty and catalytic converter as part of the emissions equipment should be covered.

Have a 2007 Kia Sedona. Car is losing power, especially on upward grades. Finally got spark plugs changed and believe they were the original plugs, cause they were really bad and one had cracks in it. ...

kia's have small engines. ive owned 3 . they all have no power on hills and they all had loss of power with the a/c on . and to answer your question loss of power can also be caused by catalytic converter. yes could be plug wires, coil, fuel injectors need cleaned, air filter, tranaxle fluid low or over full, fuel filter, emission system, list goes on
