I have 2003 expedition that wont start,, it already has a new battery and starter..?

If have replaced the battery and starter then most likely your problem may be coming from the alternator. The alternator is in charge of providing a constant charge to the battery for all electrical components to run. If that does not work then try checking your fuel pressure to see if the fuel pump is not supplying enough fuel for ignition. Spray starter fluid inside the intake and if it starts long enough then you know that your problem is not fuel related.

Hope this Helps!

2000 expedition wont start changed sloenoid and battery still just click wont turn over

The poster should first make sure new battery is fully charged.Be sure battery cables are very clean and tight, same with connectors on solenoid. Have an assistant turn on headlamps(high beam) and attempt to start vehicle.Do lights remain the same or do they dim excessively? If lights dim noticeably check for shorted starter cable or defective starter.also check engine for excessive turning effort using turning tool on engine crank bolt or screwdriver in flywheel with starter removed. If lights do not dim check for open circuit in starter or cable.Sometimes a few sharp raps on the starter body will get it to work temporarily.Defective starters will often have a burnt smell. IF engine is excessively hard to turn, mechanical problem, such as leaking coolant into cylinders or defective injector may exist.Always use extreme caution when working under vehicle or near electrical components, batteries can explode or burn you badly and starter can engage causing serious bodily harm. Most auto parts stores can test starter with component removed. Also be sure correct replacement part is installed. This vehicle has several solenoids that will fit,but will not necessarily work.

How to remove a starter from a 2003 expidition

Thank you for using Fixya.
Heres's the procedure on how to remove and install starter for your 03 Expedition. First remove the battery cables from the battery. Remove the electrical connections to the starter and label for replacement. There are 3 bolts - 13mm. The bottom bolt is also the ground terminal, therefore you will need a deep socket for that bolt. The other two are accessable ideally with about a 7" extension to your socket wrench. The top bolt is on the top of the starter and you could fit your hand up there to feel it and place the socket. The 3rd bolt is between the bottom and top bolts. Remove the 3 bolts and the starter falls right out.

All the best!

My 2003 ford expedition won't turn over the battery is o.k. tries to start but wont turn over

One of two things, if your battery is ok (local parts stores check those free), the other thing could be your starter. if you check your battery at the store they can also check your starter as well if you take it in to them.

How do you change the starter on a 2005 ford expedition

The answer will vary - depending on the engine you have...Generally, you first remove the neg. cable from the battery.
Then you remove the 2 (or 3) wires from the starter.
Then you remove the 2 bolts that hold the starter to the bell housing.
Lube the bolts (must be clean too) - place the new starter... install the bolts... Torque to about 30 lbs .... the reconnect the wires to the new starter.
Finally reconnect the neg battery cable and start your Expedition!!

2003 expedition that wont start..unable to remove starter where is the third bolt that holds starter in place?

It comes in from the opposite direction on the bell housing. You got to use a small hand wrench box style and once you break it loose enough, you can run it out, while wiggling the starter, with your fingers
