IS THE ENGINE THE SAME SIZE AS THE ONE YOU TOOK OUT IF SO THERE MAY BE A CLUTCH SIZE DIFFERANT. THERE IS A HOLE LOT THAT COMES INTO PLAY. A FLY WHEEL FROM YOU TRUCK SOUNDS LIKE IT COULD BE 11 INCH AND THE ENGINE YOU ARE PUTTING BACK IN COULD HAVE HAD A 10 1/2 INCH CLUTCH. IF THIS DOESN'T MAKE SENSE GIVE ME MORE INFO ON THE OLD ENGINE AND THE REBUILT ENGINE

The flywheel cover needs to be against the back of the oil pan, not on the edge lip of the oil pan.

How do u change a clutch in a 1990 nissan pickup rwd 2wd four cylinder

You'll need to remove the driveshaft, and transmission crossmember, and then the gearbox and bellhousing from the motor. The clutch disc is between the flywheel and pressure plate. Remove the pressure plate and remove the clutch. You should get the flywheel resurfaced, especially if there are heat spots on it. Also change the throw-out bearing.

85 Dodge Pickup....383 V8 can i replace the crankshaft without pulling the heads?

yes but this is gonna be alot of work no matter how you do it, you will neeed to remove your oil pan, then remove rod bearing caps, and then the main bearing caps, and also remember about your flywheel that bolts to the back of the crankshaft, so you will have to remove the transmission also,

Our 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 cranks but won't start. The odometer flashes, no gauges in dash work, the chech engine light is not on, we cannot communicate with the computer, no power at fuel pump, no spark.

theirs a sensor on the top of your transmission bellhousing that reads your flywheel check it , and you can try your fuse box thats under the hood ? i would pull each fuse and check it closely

I have a 1985 Dodge slant 6 225 ci. When I try to start the motor the only way isto shoot starting fluid into the carb. Once the motor is running it wont idle and when I try to pull out it starts out ok...

sounds like you have a major carb problem i would rebuild it or buy one from the parts store already rebuilt ..dont forget a new fuel filter!.....also check your fuel pump for pressure and volume.

1984 s10 2.8 manual trans. flywheel causes engine to vibrate

no should be same engine. check your engine mounts and tranny mount. how bad a vibration? sometimes after installing engine the trans gets shifted around and if mount was worn it will allow it to hit crossmeber and vibrate.
