Un plug the module under the master cylinder and see if brake lamp goes out...if light goes out you may have a rear abs problem..hope this helps you!!

The brake warning light can come on for more than one reason. Fluild too low and so,etimes when you fill it back up the light doesnt reset because the fluid float doesnt come back up. With the fluild full push the float down and let it come back up a few times to see if this gets the light out You didn't say if the brake works OK or say if the ABS lite is also on and you didn't say if the truck has ABS (It doesn't have to) You didn't indicate which line has to be replaced and that once the system has been opened all bleeder points need checked. The system is a split system and sometimes to get it to reset you need to make a leak ( open a bleeder valve) in the part of the system that didn't have the broken line so the safety valve can go back the other way. It's easy to go too far so this trick needs to be done with the engine running. Watching the safty light push down on the brake. no change rabbit pumch the brake pedal light may flicker. If it does open a front caliper bleeder and slowly push the pedal down just till the light goes out and clse the valve still holding the pedal. ( this requires two peaple ) after the valve is closed pul up the brakes, Keep checking to make sure the master is full of fluild as it may go down some.. Sometimes getting a long lenght of bleeder hose on the open bleeder bolt and back to the master submersed in the fluild and pump until no bubbles close and go to the next bleeder until all the bleeders and pumped back to the master with no bubbles. Everything tight and the fluild full. Rember that the light comes on because the parking brake pedel can be on so reset the parking brake too as it'll turn the brake warning light on but not the ABS

Brakes went out

Have you checked the master cylinder for leaks and around the brake booster? You may have a bad brake light switch.

Vt commodore problems My 98 VT wagon has real

run a fault code reader to reset the abs and trac lights as the trac light uses the same sensor as the abs.. IF the pedal is still soft then there is still air in the brake system. You may have to crack the lines at the master cylinder first and bleed there first then start at the longest line and work back to the shortest

Break lights stay on when car if off

I had this same problem. I turned off my car and the brake lights stayed on. I looked under the dash and found that the brake pedal, when not pressed, barely touched the brake light switch, which controls whether the brake lights are on or off. Initially though I just wedge a thin piece of adhesive foam between the pedal and switch, which worked fine for several months until I found the time to properly fix it. My brake light switch was adjustable so i eventually adjusted the nuts on each side of the brake switch holding it to the pedal bracket so that the brake pedal pushed in the white brake light switch when released. Hope this helps!

We just replaced all the brake lines on our 2000 Concord. We bled the brakes, but still don't have great brakes. Is there steps we needed to take when we bred the brakes. The brake light is also...

When bleeding a break system have one person pump the breaks around 10 times and hold the pressure to the break peddle while the other person loosens the bleed screw......The peddle will then go to the floor..............Hold to the floor until the bleed screw is tightened again and repeat until no air is in the line............Repeat for all breaks and always check the master cylinder for low fluid level and top up.................Hope this helps you out.

Keep getting air in break lines

1. bleed your vehicle while the engine is running. 2. Check ALL your brake lines, connections and wheel brakes cylinders or calipers of any leaks or moisture. 3. If nothing happens, your brake masters or your caliper's pistons may be weak and needs replacement.
post me of any development
