Which is the fuse for the brake lights as the fuse box diagram doesn't correspond with the fuses which are in there?

Have you tried checking the brake _switch_ connected to the back of the brake pedal? All the way up the top of the brake pedal arm is the brake switch. They do go bad. They also can get loose and not make contact. // If you have ruled out the brake switch, it is possible the brake ''relay'' is bad, and therefore this has nothing to do with a fuse. This may or may not be a ''DIY'' issue depending on where the relay is located. Brakes are no longer _only_ connected to the brake pedal with a fuse in between. (Because that is far too simple and easy for our modern day ''Jetson-mobiles''). Nowadays there is also a relay in the circuit, if not _also_ the car's computer. You may need more than an ''owners manual'' to find such a relay. I suppose you could try Googling ''Brake Relay location'' (along with your year, make, and model). // Best of luck... -Gregg

Disable ABS without losing brake lights?

Many of the master cylinders have connection for a brake light pressure switch. Some also active the brake lights by placing a switch directly under the brake pedal. You may need to build your own bracket.

Reverse light and brake light not working

More than likely you have blown some fuses.. the reverse light and brake light fuses are located in the under hood fuse/relay block is located near the battery in the engine compartment.Lift the cover for access to the fuse/relay block. You will see fuses to the top right of the fuse/relay block once you remove the cover. These are geneallay spare fuses stored in that location. You can remove fuses with a fuse extractor. The fuse extractor is located in the fuse/relay block itself ...and looks like a pair of cheap plastic tweezers (lol). Ok if you look at the lid of the fuse compartment it shows the location of the fuses... you need to look the location marked STOP LP, CHMSL, VEH STOP, and TRL B/U. Those 4 control the lights in question. I would pretty much guarantee that at least 2 of them are blown. If you replace them and they blow again... that means you have an "short" or overload problem... just contact me again and I will tell you how to fix that. I hope that helps you. Good Luck

1193 plymouth voyager. Brake lighs don't work

Maybe a relay or fuse is bad or the wiring to it.

But you said that the third brake light works.

So the brake switch must be ok.
Turn signals would be the flasher or wiring to it.prev.gif next.gif
CIRCUIT PROTECTION Fuse Block Fig. 1: The fuse box is located under a cover at the lower left instrument panel — 1987 Voyager shown 85616099.jpg
The fuse block and relay bank is located on the driver's side under the lower instrument panel. The fuse block contains fuses for various circuits as well as circuit breakers, horn relay, ignition lamp thermal time delay, and the turn signal flasher. The hazard warning flasher is mounted into a bracket below the fuse block. The individual fuse and relay locations can be found in the wiring diagrams at the end of this section.
is bad.

We have a 2003 f250 super duty. We have no power

Check fuse #6 20amp on your interior fuse panel it may be blown. The relays are located in an auxillary relay box located under the hood on the drivers side fender near the firewall. The system uses 2 relays. One relay turns on for left turn signal, other relay turns on for right signal. Both relays turn on for brake lamps. The fuse #6 is more likely the problem. If the fuse is blown, replace it, wiggle the wiring on the trailer while someone steps on brakes to check for shorts.
