You have a bad injector, if you have A... as it states on the top of the motor 2.8, 3.1 L MULTI PORT and dies or idles really rough and the exhaust smells like strong gas. most likely you have an injector that has shorted or is shorting out and from my experiences usually after a road trip or using fuel injector cleaner or buying a used car. it will cause half the motor to not run or run poorly VERY POORLY or even burn out 1 injector fuse out of 2 under hard acceleration or idles but as soon as you touch the gas pedal dies. but only if it is a MULTI PORT fuel injected motor. ive heard you want to try and replace them with bosch injectors out of a 2.9l ford bronco/ranger. only attempt if you got the mechanical know how sometimes if not done right will leak gas because of the injectors being kinda different length. research before attempting.

2013 Honda Rubicon TRX500FA, Starting in Gear / Neutral Positions

When starting in gear there is a switch , controlled by the front brake lever to avoid over revving, make sure the front brake lever is fully applied when starting in gear , if the engine starts to run rough disengage the brake lever fully, if rough running continues then likely switch needs replacing/servicing

2000 buick lesabre runs rough. It started running rough and the I drove it around for a while and it was okay for several weeks and then started running rough again and staying that way.

First I would change where I buy gas.And perform a tun up,start with the spark plugs,if it runs okay your done if not #2 change your wires. And clean your throttle body with carb cleaner.

My 1998 Olds 88 has been stalling and running rough.

Check and clean the IAC valve. Idle Control Valve. Use brake cleaner or carburater cleaner . Remove the duct work from the air filter assembly. It is located just inside . Run the engine at 1200 rpms and spray the valve. The valve can also be removed and cleaned.
