Sounds like it maybe a fan issue you use it during city driving more so than on highway.the air flow on highway cools it.

I have a 1995 ford aspire its steaming at the radiator, changed cap already temp gage is normal

If your antifreeze is boiling, at the moment, I don't trust your temp gage? Does the radiator fan work? Any applicable trouble codes? Can you check for coolant flow through the radiator, cool engine. Check the thermostat and coolant temp sensor. If you could do a little testing it might help narrow things down, a little.

Your radiator cooling fan will only come on when the engine temp has reached the point where it needs to have air forced through the radiator and thus bring engine heat back down to safe operating range. If your heater is not working check to make sure the fresh air vents aren't stuck open (are the controls stiff or not going all the way across?) check also that the heater shutoff valve lever which is usually situated on the firewall at the rear of the engine and can be found easily by tracing the hoses back from the thermostat housing aren't bent and/or seized up.

Common issues with 1994 buick roadmaster

Has anyone tested the new temp unit to make sure it's functioning properly? Or is their possibly a mechanical thermostat in it that's hung and needs to be replaced?

Over heating

The radiator needs to have a rot out or get replaced. Over time the water deposits build up inside radiator and affect heat transfer.Keep your thermostst in. If you remove it your gas miledge will drop because the coolant temp sensor will tell the computer that the truck is not warmed up yet and the computer will tell the fuel injectors to ad more fuel. also in winter your heater will take a long time to heat up.
