Check the spark plug/ coil housing. The factory one was made with recycled plastic that contains aluminum flakes. This causes the plugs to arc out. The replacement housing is white (all plastic) while the original one is black/gray.

CERTAIN DELPHI AFTERMARKET FUEL PUMP MODULES / MODULE RESERVOIR ASSEMBLIES (MRA) THAT WERE SOLD FOR USE ON THE ABOVE LISTED VEHICLES. DURING PRODUCTION THE MRAS VENT AND FUEL RETURN TUBES WERE REVERSED. THIS CONDITION CAN RESULT IN THE VEHICLE NOT RUNNING CORRECTLY (IDLE ROUGH AND/OR STALL) DUE TO AN OVERLY RICH FUEL BLEND OR THE VEHICLE'S EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CARBON CANISTER MAY LEAK FUEL. Check out these other recalls too. http://www.internetautoguide.com/auto-recalls/09-int/1996/pontiac/grand-am/index.html

got spark?
test fuel work? run for 3 seconds, sprayed into intake ports.
??????
if yes, it runs on test fuel and stalls then find out why you dont have fuel.
what makes you think you even have fuel?
if there is no spark then we check the ASD relay action
and work from there, ask.

I have a 92 Storm GSI. When driving down the road the car stalls like it is out of gas then starts running. I have replaced the fuel filter, pump and relay. Any other ideas?

For the age of this car it is a combination of both the fuel filter and pump, i owned one several years ago and found that the gas tanks are prone to rust inside, if you have replaced the pump and filter you may want to drop the tank again and check the screen on the pump if it is brown you have rust in the tank: another problem i had ( if you bought an oem pump ) they tend to slip out of position, you can tie the pump it place so it doesn't move......

Drive the car down the road it stalls and will not start. After an hour it will start with no problem.

Replace fuel pump, fuel filter, This would be a fuel problem if it were electrical it would not start at all. Check to see if you have bad gas.

Check fuel flter at fuel pick-up intank (looks like a small wire sock). Remove fuel filter and fitting at fuel rail. Blow out fuel lines w/about 35lbs air press. Ck electrical @ relay - should be 4 connectors - one is key on hot/one is always hot/one is ground and last is hot to fuel pump. Good Luck

My 96 F-350 stall while I was driving and now will not start.

check to see if you can hear the fuel pump make a light whirring sound for a couple of seconds when you turn the key to the "on" position. If there is no sound your fuel pump failed.
If there is, check the fuel filter and/or shutoff relay button.

Engine stalls

Common fault is the fuel relay. You can either replace relay 103 in the relay box, next to the fuse box, or repair it by replacing the two capacitors inside the relay housing.
