My 2016 jeep compass makes a loud engine noise when I accelerate At around 65mph the tack registers about 2600 rpm. It seemed to have occured whe I had the fuel injectors cleaned at jiffy lube.

i don't know. on my older pickup, mechanic said wait
for fuel to be low and run half a tank of premium gas.
noise went away and i went back to regular fuel.

Why does not start?

I have never heard of an engine noise being described as a tick tack rattling noise. (I assume you mean Tick Tack candy/breathmints?) \

Either way, if it doesnt start, but just makes a rattling/knocking sound, I would ask you did it just quit on you and not restart? Or did it get you where you were going and then would not start when you were ready to leave? If the answer to the first question is yes, then you are likely facing a broken timing belt. The sound you hear are the valves coming into contact with the pistons when you are cranking the starter. This is a bad sound. Lets hope your answer was no to the first and yes to the second. Are you sure have gas? I cannot tell you how many times people have told me "It just won't start!" only to pour a gallon of gas in and varrroooom! What about oil? The tick tack sound just doesn't sound like a healthy engine sound in my head. Do you have oil in the engine? Does somebody hate you enough to drop nuts and bolts into your intake manifold? That would sound like tick tacks. BIG GIANT tick tacks, but tick tacks nonetheless.

Car "bucking"

Are you pulling a trailer or have a heavy load - you should not drive in overdrive in those conditions. You will eventually ruin your transmission.

Gas gage dont work

It sounds like your Instrument Cluster has decided not to work. you can find a replacement Instrument Cluster at your Local Auto Recycling Facility (Junk Yard) for $30 for a STratus or you can go to

www.car-part.com and put in your year, make, model and order one by Distance or Price.

Instrument panel guages work one day the not the next, whats the problem?

It's tach, not tack, short for tachometer. Were these gauges installed by unionized people? It could have been the gauges' day off, as per their collective agreement.
Most instrument panel woes are caused by bad grounds. Most panels are below the front glass, and if this leaks, guess where the water goes? Dashboard problems are a bear to fix sometimes, and costly in terms of labor. Have someone steal the car.

Sometimes my 2000 chevy blazer will not start. If I hit the gas tank while it is being started it will sometimes start. I am wondering if this is a fuel pump problem or a fuel filter problem. It never...

Usually that is a bad fuel pump. Filter is not on the tank. Test it when it doesn't start, or listen, as when you first turn the key to "run", you should hear the fuel pump cycle.

Part time miss

Sound like you coil is going out. Need to replace the coil and go ahead and do a complete tuneup, plugs, plug wires, distributer cap & rotor button. It will run like new, plus a can of SEAFOAM for the gas tank to clean to fuel system.
