hi, let me get some more info so i can help you with your issue. First ques. does your "chk engine" light come on? is your vech. a manual or automatic trans.? and how long has this issue been acting up and is it getting worse? when is thelast time you had service done? Get back with that info and i will start thinking about whats going on. Hope to hear from you soon.
is the noise going overtop of even your radio? how long has it been doing this? when you turn the steering wheel right or left does it go away?
from just your above issue it sounds like a wheel bearing is going on your vehicle but would need more information to be precise.
what it means is it is slipping. now the first thing you can do is drop the oil out of it and change the filter. add lucas trans additive and go for a couple of days if the problem goes away as often times it does it's because the valve body inside the trans is gummed up, and the lucas removes this. if the problem persists it could be either a defective engine speed sensor or a faulty trans control module. i would take it to a shop and have them hook a scan tool to it. it will show which one is the fault. please rate this.
