Thanks for the quick reply, but is there any other way to reset this code? I hate taking my vehicle in, they seem to charge 2 or 3 hundred dollars every time i go in. I'm tired of that. That is why i replaced the two wheel bearing myself. again, thanks

You have to go to a shop and get them to put it on an ABS scanner to see if you broke a wire or the codes just need to be reset. only a scan can tell you what is wrong and it should not cost very much if any thing to do this

Sorry that is the only way to clear the codes but you canstill check to make sure the wiring is hooked up right some times that will clear the codes with ABS it is usually a broken wire at the hub and some times the connection is loose, The scan should never take more than a few minutes and any shop that charges hundreds of dollars is lieing to you.

Traction control keeps activating

When the light keeps illuminating it recieves it message from the EBCM (electronic brake control module) or the ABS system,Make sure you have all the same tire size and are properly inflated, just to let you know GM has known problems with the front ABS unit, and the solution is to replace front hub and bearing. The ABS and TCS lights stays on

Hello Bryan.
You will need to scan the ABS system and find out which wheel speed sensor isn't working.
ABS and traction control both use the information from the sensors.
In my shop it is usually a broken wire to one of the front sensors or a bad sensor in one of the four wheels.
The sensors are part of the wheel hub/bearings and need to be replaced as an assembly if one of them are the problem.

Abs and the traction control off light is on

Each wheel has a sensor on it which tells the abs system that your wheel is rolling and lets the cpu know if there is any difference in speed between them. Most likely you damaged one or more of them when you did the work. Check the wiring going to the sensors, if it's not that, then you either need to bring it to a dealer or live without abs and traction control. (abs and traction control work from the same sensors).

Engine light and ABS traction control light remain

The ABS sensor is a speed sensor also for Traction Control. This is why both lights are on , One of your front ABS sensors are bad or disconnected, or has a pinched wire.

My ABS and Service Traction Control system lights are on. What could it be?

those lights come on when the system is shut down by the computer. You have to scan the abs system. It is usually one of the sensors. I have seen many of the front wheel bearings being the problem because the sensor is built in and when the bearing goes bad.

The ABS and Traction control both work off the abs system .

Hope this helps.

Traction light stays on as well as my abs would come on and stays on and clicking noise during braking.

Sounds like you have a problem in the front brakes or a front wheel speed sensor. A common cause for a Traction light is a faulty front ABS wheel speed sensor or harness. When the Anti lock brake computer sees a problem in the ABS syetm, it disables traction control as well.

2001 olds ABS and traction control sensor issue

An ABS sensor DOES affect the traction control system. Traction control uses these sensors to determine if a wheel is losing traction. A bad sensor will cause both the ABS and TRACTION lights to come on.
The CHECK ENGINE light however is going to be a seperate problem.
