First face the vehicle so the battery in on the right.
Second open hood.
Third Remove the Grill by pushing firmly on two retainer clips that are on the top, use the wide slot screwdriver to get the rest of the clips off. Pull up gently on the grill it should then pop out. The grill extends under each headlight assemblymag-glass_10x10.gif any other retainer clips should release when the grill in popped out.
  • Step 2 Fourth on top of the headlight assembly you will see one 1" tab on the right and left side, pull the tabs upward about two inches and this should release the headlight assembly. You then should be able to pull the headlight assembly out toward you.
  • Step 3 Finally at the back of the headlight assembly you will see two rubber caps one for low beam and one for high beam, the white base is for the low beam and the black base is for the high beam. Unsnap the wire harness from the bulb base, turn the bulb clockwise.

Replace the bulbs high beam on the outside and low beam on the inside.

Low beam bulb on 2003 X-type

    Hi Rod

Open the hood, remove the plastic dome cover, and then the bulb connections, un clip the bulb retainer, extract the bulb, and check with the new one that its same.
No fingers on new bulb or it will pop when you switch on.
Fit new bulb and retaining clip, refit wires, test it, then fit plastic cover.
    Good Luck !
This is what it looks like under hood !

A FixYa rating would be appreciated Thank you !

2003 Seville STS low beam headlights don't work

ya its is prolly the bulbs, open your hood. look behind your headlamps, some have covers for the low beam and high beam. if there are covers turn on your high beams so you will know which bulb is your lowbeam. if you can unplug them. after cover is removed and you can acces the bulbs. they either twist out, lefty lossey. or they have little metal retainers that you have to move a certian way before you can swing the retainer out. its like a door you just have to unhook the proper side of retainer and the other side will be hinged. use a flash light and look at it close. good luck
