Question about 1992 Chevrolet K1500
Theres the arm that the cable hooks to and it moves to the drivers side not front and back. Looking up from under the truck in front of the raditors you can unscrew the latch pin with a long screwdriver its very tight and is hard to get started. once unscrewed the hood will open against the safty latch and then can be opened. Many auto parts stores will have the new cable. If you can't get it lose to open the hood and the truck runs OK most body shops can get it open and install the new cable too. As this is a common job on a crashed car.
